Residential Window Installer Duties and Responsibilities
Residential Window Installers perform a variety of tasks related to the installation and replacement of windows in residential properties.
They are skilled craftsmen who utilize various hand and power tools to complete their work.
Their duties and responsibilities include:
Measuring and marking the area where the window will be installed or replaced
Removing old windows and any debris from the installation site
Inspecting and preparing the installation site to ensure it is ready for the new window to be installed
Using hand and power tools to fit and install the new window
Applying sealing compounds around the window to prevent drafts and ensure a tight fit
Trimming windows
Checking the installation for any issues and making necessary adjustments
Cleaning up the installation site, including disposing of old windows and debris
Providing clients with advice on window maintenance and handling any client concerns or complaints
Ensuring that all necessary materials are available for each job
