Job Description

A specialized role is available for a Special Education Teacher at an elementary school setting in Kent, WA. This full school-year contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational development of students requiring tailored instructional methods and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students with diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to create inclusive classroom environments.
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust strategies to support academic and social development.
• Utilize specialized teaching techniques and assistive technology to enhance student engagement and achievement.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations and reporting requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification or licensure.
• Demonstrated experience working with elementary-aged students with special needs.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavioral supports.
