POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for providing technical leadership, expertise, and guidance related to architectural standards, design, development, integration, and implementation of software solutions that enable business partners to achieve their objectives.
The Solutions Architect will lead the organization’s ERP strategy design and execution, ensuring it effectively supports business processes and objectives. The role involves strategic planning, leading implementation initiatives, and continuous improvement of ERP solutions to optimize data integrity, operational efficiency, and business outcomes. The position requires a strong technical background in ERP applications, application development, project/program management, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to align applications with business needs. The role includes managing vendor relationships and leading support teams to maintain a stable and responsive application portfolio.
The successful candidate will remain current with trends in the ERP market, including cloud ERP, platform-as-a-service, and embedded AI capabilities. This is both an individual contributor and leadership role, reporting to the Director of IT Applications.
COMPENSATION - Starting salary is $115,000.00 and up based on experience.
WORKPLACE TYPE - This hybrid position is in Tampa, FL requiring working on-site at least four (4) days per week based on business needs.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Provide architecture design and governance expertise, collaborating with stakeholders across business and IT.
• Manage production support, governance, instance management, access controls, technology platforms, and disaster recovery.
• Partner with Program Management Office (PMO), Business Analysts, Development, IT Security, and Infrastructure to deliver solutions.
• Define future state enterprise architecture and guide transition via roadmaps and collaborative planning.
• Govern adherence to industry and organizational software standards and practices.
• Develop and present prototypes, reference architectures, and innovative solutions.
• Lead research, development, and proof-of-concept efforts.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and assessments for IT teams and projects.
• Conduct system analysis to assess current and future architecture.
• Perform gap analysis to identify points of failure, capacity issues, SLAs, and change windows.
• Contribute to evolving technology standards and practices.
• Promote best practices in product and solution design.
• Communicate effectively using written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years of IT experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role managing enterprise applications.
• Strong background in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle ERP).
• Experience in object-oriented programming, relational databases, functional/technical documentation, and system testing.
• Strategic planning skills to align technology with business goals.
• Cloud computing knowledge (Oracle Cloud certification is a plus).
• Experience migrating from legacy ERP to Oracle Fusion Cloud.
• Proficiency with SaaS integration tools like Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or other API management platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management background, including agile methodologies and change management.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics.
• Understanding of financial principles and budget optimization.
• Ability to foster continuous improvement and effective decision-making. Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Agile and ITIL practices.
• Experience delivering architecture solutions in alignment with standards, SLAs, and budgets.
