Automotive Tech/Mechanic
Job Description

• Join our Team in Sterling Heights as a Mechanic, where you will play a crucial role in customizing vehicles for testing, repair, and further customization
• You will be responsible for performing part updates and rework on both new and gently used vehicles, ensuring quality and adherence to procedures

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret service procedures as written by OEM service engineers
• Access and utilize OEM systems for software flashing, labor guides, and service procedures
• Evaluate repairs and diagnose issues during vehicle repairs
• Possess a complete variety of automotive tools and some specialty tools
• Inspect incoming and outgoing vehicles
• Conduct test drives and perform functional vehicle tests
• Document any additional issues found and inform the Team Leader/Manager in a timely manner
• Work independently and complete projects without intervention
• Interact and communicate effectively and professionally with the client team
• Consistently meet or exceed labor time guidelines for various repairs
• Work independently and off-site with minimal resources in various conditions
• Maintain a clean work station and work environment

Essential Skills

• Mechanic experience with diagnosis, repair, engine, and transmission
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electronics
• Experience with diagnostics tools
• Experienced technician in engine, transmission, and electrical repairs/troubleshooting

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
