Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision and Leadership:

    • Lead a team of skilled plumbers and apprentices by providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and high-quality work.

    • Coordinate daily tasks, set priorities, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines.

  2. Project Management:

    • Oversee the execution of plumbing projects, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.

    • Collaborate with project managers to develop project timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.

  3. Technical Expertise:

    • Utilize your plumbing license and extensive hands-on experience to troubleshoot and resolve complex plumbing issues.

    • Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their technical skills.

    • Familiar with popular construction software to communicate with customers and internal staff. Examples: Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam

  4. Quality Assurance:

    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets industry standards and customer expectations.

    • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.

    • Provide proficient means and methods to complete plumbing systems in compliance with current codes per city.

    • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.

 

  1. Client Interaction:

    • Participate in daily/weekly jobsite coordination meetings in a professional capacity.

  2. Material and Equipment Management:

    • Manage inventory of plumbing materials and equipment to ensure adequate supplies for ongoing projects.

    • Machine Operation is not a requirement but preferred.

  3. Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of project details, including work performed, materials used, and labor hours.

    • Complete and submit required reports in a timely manner.

    • Manage weekly hourly usage of man hours to coordinate with the project budget.

Qualifications:

  1. Plumbing License:

    • Hold a valid and current plumbing license issued by the State of Texas.

  2. Experience:

    • Proven experience as a lead licensed plumber with a minimum of 2 years in the field, or 5 years leading projects with the ability and willingness to immediately obtain a valid plumbing license.

  3. Leadership Skills:

    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  4. Communication:

    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, team members, suppliers, and customers.

  5. Driver's License:

    • Possess a valid and current state-issued driver's license in good standing.

  6. Safety Conscious:

    • Prioritize and enforce safety standards on job sites.

    • OSHA 30 and CPR within the last two years are preferred.
