Plant Controller

We are seeking an experienced Plant Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our Fremont, OH plant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial analysis and manufacturing accounting with a focus on cost management and financial reporting. This role requires collaboration with various departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with established controls and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all financial functions, including cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Supervise and support the accounting team, including a Senior Plant Accountant and Payroll Specialist.
• Conduct comprehensive analysis of operational costs and variances, including direct and indirect labor, overhead, and material costs.
• Maintain and enhance accounting and finance systems, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Participate in the Site Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning, budgeting, and implementation of company initiatives.
• Facilitate lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities, such as 5S, Kaizen, and GEMBA walks.
• Prepare and present annual budgets, monthly financial statements, and financial reconciliations.
• Manage payroll processes and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Interact with internal departments and external customers on financial matters, including accounts receivable and pricing.
• Oversee accounts payable processes, including voucher approvals and expense management.
• Prepare documentation and support for annual audits and respond to auditor inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on financial analysis and cost accounting.
• Proficient knowledge of standard cost accounting, auditing, and budget management.
• Exceptional computer skills and ability to adapt to changing business circumstances.
