BASIC FUNCTIONS:

 

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for video production for sharing across multiple platforms, SEO optimization of the North American Sign’s website, and other digital marketing responsibilities to support the growth of the Marketing Department’s inbound strategy, which supports the Sales Team’s goals as outlined by the Director of Sales. This role requires a motivated self-starter, able to maintain existing and develop new marketing strategies. The marketing specialist must also be able to create, maintain, and refine their own workflow to support marketing and sales efforts. *** Note this is a remote position, but we do ask employees live in states that are for employment with the company. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Video/audio Editing:

  • Capture, edit, and produce high-quality, engaging video content for social media platforms, including trimming, cutting, and arranging footage, adding transitions, music, sound effects and visual effects, color correcting and grading, and adding text overlays and captions.
  • Trim footage and put together the rough and final cuts for posting on social media, website, podcasts, and internal company communications.
  • Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of the video.
  • Audio editing to deliver a seamless podcast experience when converting from video to audio podcast.
  • Experience hosting/participating in a podcast is a plus.
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and best practices to maximize efficiency.

 

SEO Optimization:

  • Perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities.
  • Research and implement content recommendations for organic SEO success.
  • Develop and implement link-building strategy.

· Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine results.

· Research and analyze competitor advertising links.

· Search for opportunities to optimize website architecture٫ content٫ linking and other factors in the interest of improving SEO positions for target keywords.

  • Work with the third-party web development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code.

 

 

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· A track record of increasing platform activity through marketing efforts.

· Mastered the fundamentals of market research and passionate about implementing these.

· Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Teams, MS PowerPoint)

· Experience with digital technology and graphics, video, and audio editing software like Canva, Kapwing, Riverside, or other editing programs.

· Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.

· Creative mind and storytelling skills.

· Experience with SEO strategy and website analytics tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Semrush.

· Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM.

· Experience in collaborating with third party web development companies is a plus.

· Positive attitude, critical thinking skills, independent workflow approach.

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or an applicable field of study.

· 1-3 years of experience in digital marketing is preferred.
